About Me

Welcome to my website! My name is Darshan Patel, and I'm currently a rising senior at Haverford College in Pennsylvania. I'm a Physics and Astronomy major, and the latter was a major draw in choosing CIERA as my home this summer. For my work, I collaborated with Professor Selim Shahriar to create a numerical model of subluminal lasers, so that they may be eventually deployed in a dark matter detector. My current areas of research are cosmology, dark matter, and instrumentation. Outside of research, I enjoy playing games (the video and board kind), cycling, traveling, and cooking.
