About Me

Hello, I am Andres Chirino-Segura. As of August 2024, I am a Junior majoring in Astrophysics at the University of California, Berkeley. This summer, I had the privilege of conducting research at Northwestern University through the National Science Foundation's “Research Experiences for Undergraduates” program. During this period, I worked with the Center for Interdisciplinary Exploration and Research in Astrophysics (CIERA) and had the opportunity to collaborate with Professor Daniel Horton and his Climate Change Research Group. I was also fortunate to receive guidance from Victoria Lang, my graduate student mentor, and engage in interdisciplinary research within the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences. This experience was profoundly rewarding and has strengthened my interest in planetary sciences. The insights and advice from my mentors have been invaluable, and I am excited to apply what I have learned to my studies at UC Berkeley and in my future career.
